A Family Affair

Jurgen Haussels founded C & O Wines in 1973, importing exclusive, hand crafted wines, from some of the world’s greatest wine makers.

We are now the sole importers of wine from over 50 family owned wine estates from four continents. The wines from these agencies are distributed directly to the on-trade and to our fast growing core of private customers.

Now the second generation has joined the company, and Oliver Haussels continues to focus on working with family owned estates from established and up-and-coming vineyards worldwide, with no compromise on quality.

Our dedicated staff are WSET trained and are passionate about our products.  All are at your service to ensure the speedy arrival of your wine.

Customer satisfaction is paramount.  For On-Trade clients our office is fully equipped to develop and produce wine lists free of charge.

Warehouse and distribution

We own 10,000 square foot of secure warehousing in South Manchester with easy access to the M6, M56 and M60 links. Furthermore we utilise a bonded warehouse in North Manchester which stores all our deep sea shipments.

Distribution is managed through C & O’s own vehicles and select sub-contactors. This allows ultimate flexibility in meeting the delivery requirements of our customers, allowing us to meet deadlines and unexpected emergencies.

We are always delighted to receive our customers in our fully licensed tasting room.

These facilities are also on hand for meetings and compact conferences, at no cost to our clients.

Account Managers

All our account managers have a minimum of Higher WSET knowledge and offer free consultancy to customers for all their wine requirements. For on-trade clients we offer a “fit to suit” wine list proposal, designed to maximise profitability and encourage increased sales. 
Their continuous support is guaranteed from staff training to wine list printing, staff incentives and marketing support.
