Champagne Producers
Champagne Joseph Perrier
Founded in Chalons-en-Champagne in 1825, Joseph Perrier today remains a family owned and run Champagne House, currently headed by Benjamin Fourmon. With its maze of cellars tunnelled into the hillside, Joseph Perrier is a fascinating place to visit. The house style ‘Cuvee Royale’ is a rich Champagne with a creamy fruit nose that ages particularly well. Amongst its claims to fame Joseph Perrier supplied Champagne to Queen Victoria and Edward VII.
Champagne Copinet
Champagne Copinet is the culmination of the work of three generations of vignerons.
Founded in 1970 the house is now in the dutiful care of Marie-Laure and Alexandre. Their vineyards are located in Le Sezannais, La Cote des Bar and La Vallee de la Marne. The average age of the vines is 30 years and whilst all three Champagne grapes are grown, there is a leaning towards Chardonnay dominant blends at Copinet.
