Winery Information: Casa Santos Lima was founded by Joaquim Santos Lima at the turn of the 19th century. Presently the 4th generation of the family oversees this trailblazing estate which consists of vineyards in 5 regions of Portugal. Its ancestral home can be found north of Lisbon in vineyards planted on the gentle slopes tempered by the Atlantic Ocean. The wineries dedication to quality and innovation is unequalled and has resulted in over 1000 medals in prestigious national and international competitions in the last 5 years. The Lisboa vineyards are located in Allenquer, 45Km north of Lisbon, in a region where wine production is centuries old. The vineyards are planted in gentle slopes between 100 and 220 metres altitude, benefiting from sun exposure and a climate slightly tempered by the nearby Atlantic Ocean
