Description
Wine Description: A very pleasant wine with aromas of ripe fruit, cherries, blackcurrants and undergrowth. The palate is smooth with wonderfully concentrated flavours of dark berries, leather and spice.
Food Match: Roasted white meats, oily fish.
Winery Information: The Lafond family history in the Southern Rhone dates back to 1780. The cellar was rebuilt in 1970 and named Roc-Epine taking inspiration from a popular racehorse. All wines are now produced organically by Jean Pierre and Pascal Lafond from their own vineyards in Tavel, Lirac and Chateauneuf du Pape. The wines are highly regarded amongst leading critics and wine lovers.
