Description

Wine Description:   This hand harvested Malbec is from the iconic Valle de Pedernal vineyards which stand at 1250 meters above sea level. Viticulture at this altitude results in greater intensity and elegance.  A palate of spiced damsons with coconut notes and a silky vanilla finish.

Food Match:  Grilled red meats, game and hard cheeses.

Winery Information:  Don Carlos Putruele, son of Italian immigrants, settled in “San Juan de la Frontera” in the 1950s and dedicated himself to his great passion of wine making when in 1958, he founded the winery Bodega Putruele in the Tulum Valley. 3 generations of the Putruele family have since been stewards of this stand out winery, guiding and growing it into the modern and forward thinking winery which exists today. The winery and vineyards are located in the San Juan Valley nestled in the foothills of the Andes , and now also includes vineyards plots in the iconic Pedernal Valley whose high altitude production at 1300 metres is renown for producing Malbec of incredible elegance and intensity.
