Winery Information: The Sgarzi family have been passionately making wine for many generations dating as far back as 1933. From a small winery delivering to local inns of Bologna, the current owner’s Grandfather, Luigi Sgarzi built the business into a much larger concern, that now ships the wines all over the World. This wine is closely connected to the greatest wine of Valpolicella: Amarone, which after pressing the dried grapes, a secondary alcoholic fermentation takes place adding extra depth and alcohol to the wine to make a richer style of wine.
